I would highly recommend booking a wine tasting at Faust Wine Cellar for any wine enthusiasts. Gabor is extremely knowledgeable on the wines in his cellar. He not only provides items to pair with each wine, he gives detailed information about where each wine came from, how it was made, and who made the wine. It was a great experience and I would say it is a must for anyone in Budapest looking to taste some great Hungarian wines.

Enjoyed a tasting of unique Hungarian wines, paired with chocolate and chutney. Everything was simply amazing. Our host Gabor was attentive and witty, sharing the story of each wine. The location was unique, and the wine selection one of a kind. Absolutely a must.

This was a last minute booking request for the next day. I got a response via email real quick and was able to book a wine tasting.
We went for the standard, taste of 7 wines with chocolates and cheese scones with various chutneys, to be accompanied with each wine.
It was one I will never forget. Gabor is passionate about wine and it shows when he talks about it. Even though there are others, the experience feels personal to each group. Gabor gives you the flexibility to experience the wine tasting at your own pace.
The whole experience is a few levels down from the Hilton reception, quite the setting, lit with candlelight. We enjoyed it and time passed quickly.
We came away with a bottle of wine and a chutney accompaniment.
Defn a must experience when visiting Budapest.

We really enjoyed our wine tasting experience and would recommend this to any wine enthusiasts visiting Budapest. The cellar was great and Gabor is a fantastic and knowledgeable host. We enjoyed learning about Hungarian wine and tasting some along with some homemade snacks. We will be back next time we visit Budapest.

One of my greatest experiences in Budapest was this wine tasting. We were fortunate to get a table on a Saturday afternoon at this wonderful venue. Even the journey there is an experience in itself. You enter through the Hilton, which boasts a splendid lobby and an amazing bar. Through the windows, you get a panoramic view of the entire city. You then navigate through corridors and go downstairs repeatedly until you reach the Wine Cellar. The place, softly lit just by candles, has a very intimate atmosphere. We chose the second option, which included tasting five wines with a redo. Initially, we thought two and a half hours would be too long, but the time flew by. Gabor is passionate, and it shows. His explanations are engaging, though we sometimes wished he could speak slower. He is the perfect guide for this experience. I'm not usually a white wine enthusiast, but the ones we sampled were very unique. I ended up buying two bottles of red wine, which were a big success with my friends back in France. I highly recommend this for anyone seeking an upscale European experience in a charming setting.

I surprised my girlfriend for her birthday with this wine tasting experience, and was super worthy!
You could tell that Gabor has lots of experience and knowledge: he explained wines and their origins in an excellent way, making him a good guide through the whole experience!
If you are looking for something different to do in Budapest and you enjoy wines, this is the place for you!

We purchased the higher end wine option The place was very unique within The Hilton Hotel. The sommelier was knowledgeable, however, he provided us with many wines from the same winery and I thought they were terrible. I didn’t like any of the wines supplied us and of course this was disappointing. I felt the wines were overpriced for the ones we received. The next day, we went wine tasting elsewhere, and we loved every wine they gave us Something was wrong!
